Romanian Car Welding in London: Serious Rust Repairs That Save Your Car
Rust holes in sills, floors or chassis rails quickly turn into MOT failures and, more importantly, real safety problems. At Carfix London, our Romanian‑run welding service repairs structural rust properly so your car stays strong and legal. We cut out rotten metal, weld in fresh steel and protect it, instead of just covering holes with plates or filler that will not last.
Since 2009, we’ve helped Romanian and Moldovan drivers in London rescue cars that would otherwise be scrapped for corrosion. Whether your MOT sheet shows “excessive corrosion within prescribed areas” or you already know your sills, floors or chassis rails are rusty, we inspect the damage, explain everything clearly and give you a realistic quote before any welding starts.
WHY CHOOSE CARFIX FOR WELDING & RUST REPAIR?
The Right Situations to Look for Professional Car Welding
There are specific rust problems where a serious welding service (not a quick patch) makes the difference between scrapping the car and giving it years of extra life:
Rusty or rotten sills (side skirts / rocker panels) – We cut out rotten sill sections and weld in new steel sill panels or sill sections shaped in‑house when parts are no longer available, so the car regains its original strength.
Rusty door skins and lower door edges – We replace or repair corroded outer door skins, cutting away rusty metal and welding in fresh panels so the doors no longer bubble, crumble or cut into the rubber seals.
Corroded chassis rails and front or rear longitudinal members – We rebuild rusted chassis rails and reinforcement sections around suspension and subframe mounting points, restoring proper support for arms, springs and anti‑roll bars.
Rusty or holed floors – We remove rotten floor sections around seat mounts, pedal areas and footwells, then weld in formed panels so seats and seatbelts are once again bolted to solid metal.
Rusty chassis before MOT – We repair structural rust so the car can meet MOT structural‑integrity rules, rather than failing every year for the same corrosion in critical load‑bearing areas.
Everything that fails an MOT because of rust—sills, floors, chassis rails, seat‑belt mounts, suspension mounts or chassis sections—can be cut out and replaced with new steel. Where original panels or repair sections no longer exist, we fabricate our own panels in‑house to match the shape and thickness needed.
We Cut Out Rust, We Don’t Just Hide It
Good welding starts by removing all rotten metal around the affected area. We cut back to clean, sound steel, then fabricate repair sections that follow the original shape as closely as possible. After welding, we grind, seam‑seal and protect the area with primer, stone‑chip and cavity wax so the repair lasts more than one MOT cycle.
We never just plate over rust or hide it under underseal, because that can fail MOT inspection and does not keep you safe in a crash. The goal is for the repaired area to be at least as strong as when the car left the factory, not simply “good enough to pass today”.
MOT‑Focused Structural Welding and Clear Communication
Many customers come to us with MOT failures for corrosion around sills, floors, chassis rails, suspension mounts, subframe mounts and seat‑belt anchor points. We read the MOT notes, show you exactly where the problem is on the car and explain what needs to be strengthened to satisfy the rules and, more importantly, protect you and your passengers.
Before we start, you always know:
Where the rust is and how serious it is
Whether welding is recommended or full panel replacement is better
How much cutting, fabrication and welding is involved
What the repair will cost and roughly how long it will take
When the work is finished, we can show you before / during / after photos so you can see the rotten metal that was removed and the new steel that went in. You leave knowing the car has been welded by people who care about strength and safety, not just about making the underside look tidy.
We will always value our customers' satisfaction, so that the quality-price ratio is always fair.
